Subject:                    Pro Gold XP 2.0 Table 1A Error Message

Issue:  Table 1A was a created to provide a faster table linking process in Pro Gold XP by designating the application to look for this table when it first launches.  The message “The selected file does not contain required table(s): 1A” will display when there is no data file present or the user PC/Network login account does not have the appropriate permissions.  

Cause:  This behavior may occur when any of the following conditions are true:

•          The user does not have or has lost the appropriate permissions to the data file location

•          The data file path is not valid

Resolution:  Enter Resolution Steps

•          Step 1 Verify the data path is valid

-          Verify the path in the dropdown box of the No Database Found Screen (e.g., C:\program file\Progold\Pro_Data.mdb)

-          If path is valid, verify the appropriate data file name is being used (e.g., Pro_Data.mdb)

-          Can use Browse button on the No Database Found Screen to browse to the actual data file location

•          Step 2 Compact the data file to release a locked  file

-          Have all users exit the program

-          Go to the Windows Start button Programs option

-          Look for the Pro Gold XP group

-          Select the UpdateData2k option (Launches the Pro Gold XP Update Utility Menu)

-          Select the Compact Data File button on utility menu

-          Select Done button to close the utility

•          Step 3 Verify user has proper permissions to the data file location

-          User must have Full permissions to the data file location  (folder containing the data file regardless if local or network location)

-          User PC/Network Login must have Full Control (i.e., read, write, modify, etc…) permissions to both the data file location (e.g., \\pgserverprogold\Pro_Data.mdb) and the application file location (e.g., c:\program files\progold)
